- An internship allowance of €650 per month for MBO, HBO and university students.
- Continuation of the employee association.
- An employee survey regarding participation in the SPAWW scheme.
- An English version of the CLA.
- A joint process to create a future-proof collective labour agreement.
- Research into modern working practices, sustainable employability and support for employees with caregiving responsibilities.
- A separate process addressing pension-related issues.
What Issues Are Still Under Negotiation?
Salary Increase
The company has proposed a structural salary increase of 1.6%.
The unions have rejected this proposal because it does not adequately protect employees' purchasing power in light of rising living costs. Discussions on salary increases therefore remain ongoing.
Performance Bonus Above MiHo
The company has proposed an annual variable bonus of half a month's salary for employees who receive a performance rating of 4 or 5 and have reached the maximum of their salary scale.
The unions have proposed:
- Using the performance rating before calibration.
- Converting the bonus into a structural payment after three consecutive years.
- Including the payment in the calculation of holiday allowance and pension entitlements.
No agreement has yet been reached on these points.
Saturday Overtime Compensation
The unions have proposed increasing compensation for overtime worked on Saturdays. The company has indicated that it does not wish to adopt this proposal. Discussions are continuing.
Social Plan
Although the social plan is not formally part of the CLA, the unions have proposed several improvements and an extension of the current arrangements.
Our proposals include:
- Increasing the legal assistance budget from €500 to €1,000.
- Increasing the outplacement budget from €2,500 to €5,000.
- Explicitly including financial advice as part of the support package.
- Extending the acceptance period from 7 to 10 working days.
- Providing better protection for employees during restructuring processes.
- Including additional agreements made with the Works Council.
- Providing greater clarity about which salary components are included when calculating severance payments.
These proposals are still under discussion.
Why a Strong Union Matters More Than Ever
Recent restructuring activities have once again affected colleagues within the company. Unfortunately, some employees have lost their jobs as a result.
Situations like these demonstrate the importance of having independent support and strong collective representation.
Union membership provides access to:
- Support during reorganisations and redundancy processes.
- Legal advice and assistance.
- Guidance on settlement agreements.
- Review of dismissal proposals and employment-related documents.
- Collective bargaining and representation during CLA negotiations.
Particularly in times of uncertainty, a strong union makes a real difference. The more members we represent, the stronger our voice at the negotiating table and the better we can protect the interests of all employees.
Financial Benefits of Union Membership
Union membership does not have to be expensive.
At Apollo, employees may be able to benefit from a tax-efficient reimbursement scheme for union membership fees. Through this arrangement, part of the membership contribution can be reimbursed through payroll, significantly reducing the net cost of membership.
As a result, members benefit not only from support, legal protection and representation, but also from a tangible financial advantage.
